old testament bible stories

The Old Testament is as inspired as the New Testament. But many are still unaware why Ot?

Most Christians and choose Verses the Bible to follow and miss. The Old Testament lays the foundation for education and events in the New Testament. First, the Old Testament is of great importance for Christians because it is inspired by God (2 Tim. 3:16-17). Some Christians ignore the Old Testament and focus on the news, but only those who read New Old light can really learn what God says in His Word. The Old Testament gives the blessing both the shadow revealed in the New Testament (Hebrews 10: 1).

The Old Testament is very important because that the Old Testament says that the beginning of the earth and the human race, which records God's dealings with men in the past, provides evidence to support of our faith, the evidence that God exists and there is one true God, the evidence demonstrates that The Bible is the Word of God and inspired by God, the evidence demonstrates promise of our Savior Jesus Christ in the New Testament shows the character and basic human needs have not changed, a complete picture of the plan the salvation of God reveals incredible understanding of the Old Testament helps us understand and appreciate the New Testament also shows that the nature of God has never changed. Without OT We would not be able to know what pleases and what irritates him and thus establish a better relationship with him. We also know from the Old Testament that God has always been good and merciful, holy and righteous, condemning, rewarding good and evil, omniscient and all-powerful, worthy of praise and worship, faithful to his promises, etc. The Old Testament is the Word of God that the New Testament. God speaks to Throughout the Old Testament. Without the Old Testament we can not understand why the Messiah came Isaiah 53) and was not able to identify Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah through the many detailed prophecies that were given an envelope, for example, place of birth (Micah 5:2), his manner of death (Psalm 22:1, 7-8, 14-18, Psalm 69:21), His resurrection (Psalm 16:10), and many other details of his ministry (Isaiah 52:19, 9:2).

God said very clearly that the punishment of sin is death, by a flood to destroy all life. But after the flood, he has promised not to let history repeat itself. Does it mean that man would be free of sin that God would Never adjust their anger on the news of humanity? the wrath of the gods not just say in the Old Testament it is said, even in NT as well. (Acts 5:1-10). Throughout the Old Testament, we see the trial of God and the anger spilled over sin. Similarly, the New Testament we see God's wrath is still "revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness captive "(Romans 1:18). So, clearly, God is not different from the old Testament it is in the New Testament.

There many prophecies of the Old Testament were fulfilled in the life of Jesus Christ. achievement of Jesus the law does not give us license to sin or reason to ignore the Old Testament. He fulfilled the law for the ultimate sacrifice, and now the high priest ultimately our bodies can be temples. Jesus used the Old Testament to show the disciples that he was the Christ foretold in the Old Testament (John 3:14, Numbers 21:9). Paul warned those who continue in the old law should continue in all this (Galatians 3:10). In both Testaments, we find everything we have need for eternal life and a godly life (2 Timothy 3:15-17). Both OT and NT are inspired by the Spirit Holy Spirit (Hebrews 10.15 to 17)

The apostle Peter also says the Inspiration of the Old Testament. In 1 Peter. 1.10 to 11, said:

As for the prophets hello sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come to you: looking at what time and what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them at the point when he said beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow?

Jesus accepted all the AT and NT in it that the word of God and that no part of the Bible can be ignored. Jesus quoted the Scriptures of the Old Testament permanently to his disciples to teach and to criticize Jewish pharmacies. She laughs: "Have you not read what was spoken by God" (Matthew 22:31) and "Are you not a mistake they do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God" (Mark 12:24). He also used the stories of the Old Testament to teach, "Have you not read what David did?" (Matthew 12:3).

Jesus said that the Old Testament was inspired by God regarding the Scriptures as "the commandments of God" (Matthew 15:3) and that the word of God "(Matthew 15:6). Christian also has taught the infallibility of Scripture, when he said: "So heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter or stroke is transferred of the law until all is accomplished "(Matthew 5:18) and" the Scripture can not be broken "(John 10:35).

Jesus also confirmed a large number of historical narratives of the Old Testament, such as the destruction of Sodom and the death of Lot's wife (Matthew 10:15, Luke 17:29-32), the murder of Abel by his brother (Luke 11:51) Cain, the vocation of Moses (Mark 12:26), given the manna in the desert (John 6:31-51), and the trial of Tyre, Sidon and Sodom (Matthew 11:20-24).

Jesus himself confirmed most of the time dismissed the stories of the Old Testament, like the creation story of Adam and Eve (Matthew 19:4-6), Noah and the Flood (Matthew 24:37-39), and three days Jonah spent in the belly of the fish (Matthew 12:40).

Jesus has always believed and obeyed the Scriptures of the Old Testament. Never change the law or never come to destroy the only true law.

Some false preachers of the Gospel and teach different gospels of corruption, they are more concerned about the popularity of pure comfort in their sin instead of calling them to repentance and they will tell people what they want heard.

I also saw a horrible thing in the prophets of Jerusalem: they commit adultery and walk in lies, but also strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his evil. They are all like Sodom to me, and its inhabitants like Gomorrah "(Jeremiah 23:14).

Beware of false prophets, preachers and priests who tickle the ears of criminals itching (2 Timothy 4:3,4).

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: "Do not mind the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you useless to talk a vision of his own heart, and not from the mouth of the Lord "(Jeremiah 23:16).

Due to the negligence of false prophets, people do not repent: "I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not talked to them, they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then will return from their evil way and evil their actions "(Jeremiah 23:21,22).

Jesus was born a man but also God perfectly fulfilled the law. He had himself no sin, but He dutifully paid the price of the curse on the man under the perfect law of God. Atonement for sin has brought to life by the disobedience of Adam has been paid by the Lamb of God for obedience death on the cross. On the cross he took upon himself the curse for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree "(Gal 3:13). Satan with the wolves in sheep's clothing has corrupted the Gospel.

Both are the Old Testament and New Testament that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. Because it is inspired and worthy of trust, must be read and applied our lives. The Bible is our standard for testing everything he says is true. It is our safeguard against false teaching and our source of advice on how we live. It is our only source of knowledge on how we can be saved (2 Timothy 4:16-17).

Stories from the Bible: The suffering of Jeremiah

Although Jeremiah warned the leaders to stop prophesying and did not stop. But that has often been for the Lord. Once the priest who was in charge of the temple had been beaten. Then their feet were fastened in stocks. It was a wooden structure that held his feet so hard that he could not move. All day and all night sitting there. People who pass by the river itself. I could not move from his awkward position, and it was very painful.

The next day, he was released. Perhaps the priest thought Jeremiah would be afraid of him, but bravely stood before him and said: "Thus saith the Lord, this whole town, the king took Babylon and the people as captives. You and your family will too. You die because you told the people meet. "

Jeremiah thought he would not make fun of all the ore messages from God to people. But I could not resist. The Bible says the Word of God in their hearts like a blazing fire, and could not remain silent. He was right in prophesying. Some time later, when his enemies were encamped outside the walls, the new leaders became angry with Jeremiah.

God told him to tell people not to defend the king, because God was allowing this as a punishment. If surrendered peacefully, it would be better for them. The princes said: "This man is a traitor. He works for our enemies. It must be put to death. "

He obtained permission from the king and placed in a cell by Jeremiah horrible. He was alone. , And has been, however, is not a solitary God was upon him. God had told him: "I am with you to offer." Then God sent a deliverer. There in the courtyard of the king is a man of Ethiopia. He was the only one there who seemed to have some kindness in your heart Jeremiah.

There the king and asked if Jeremiah would be released. The king gave permission to search Jeremiah from the cistern. What should have been happy when Jeremiah heard the voice of this gentle man known to him. They tied ropes to a set rags and pieces of cloth and dropped to Jeremiah, telling him to put the pieces fabric under the arms so that the son not to cut into his body as he stopped

Then he stopped at the prison and allowed to remain in the prison yard. Ultimately, when his enemies came in the civic life of the man was rescued by the example of Ethiopia because of their kindness to Jeremiah. Jeremiah 39:15-18

preschool sunday school curriculum

New Year - new language - new benefits for your child

Remember that the laboratories of learning languages at school school? Laboratories with headphones, classrooms with Books full of conjugation and a teacher follows a curriculum beyond the capabilities of their Students have been combined to create absolutely worse (less) efficient method used to teach a second language. This is why those of we have language at school on school days in the middle is called secondary only remember a few choice words (and probably incorrectly pronounce!).

Today, as parents and educators, we know the importance of educating our children to be bilingual. We see and experience that we never again and I found many opportunities to test our own bilingual skills. We know from recent research and the large number of studies which published the secret of success is the introduction of the new language at an early age. Why Why even Time and Newsweek ran stories on the window of opportunity to introduce a new language is between birth and approximate age of ten to twelve.

What most of us do not know, however, is to bring this language learning in our homes and our daily lives. We wrestle with the question how to find a language program for very young children, will we need to have teaching experience or Master the new language to make the success of learning in our home or our classroom, and how we can incorporate learning second language in our daily lives?

As parents we need comfort in this new language program (can not even find the time to read a book one day to make this form please our daily routine of life!). Do not give us a manual that has to play to help our son (we can not even get the Sunday paper to read!). We have created a language program by someone who really knows and no one really knows children learning language (I really want something that works and does not reduce the bottom of the toy box!). And can someone please ensure that you do not have to make monthly payments to pay by installments language learning program (we all know how much we spend in the first year of life!).

Parents and educators increasingly use the Internet to research things before buying. Try this approach when looking for a language program for your child. Use keywords in your favorite search engine that prompts you might find in the title of this learning tool for the future of their son (teaching Spanish to bilingual children DVDs, CDs of French music for children). Then, look for programs that include language learning visual (68% of the population learns visually), learning, music (you know what the child does not like music!) to reading the new language (with subtitles on the DVD, language or cardboard cards are a great tool) and some type of verbal exchange (even if it is to ask the child to talk on television, sometimes).

Make sure you are allowed to sample the program components in the new Internet language. Most programs allow you to display video and / or hear some of their songs. You can find a true method of bilingual education for any child who is between the ages from birth to ten years. smooth transition from the native language of the new language is crucial during the first five years of life. Most experts agree to say that if the child remains the acquisition of skills in their mother tongue should be reintroduced to the mother tongue. Audience the new language, headed by a long period of time without any reference point does not work as well with the children before the age of five years.

Make sure the program is affordable language learning and is fully integrated with several components (and not just a video who has played several times, or a CD to listen again and again). The program should create a multimedia room your child for certain forms of learning, moods and methods of acquiring new information. Watch the colorful and captivating scenes, easy to understand the lyrics in the songs and the presentation simpler, with the participation that meets both languages, with his son.

Business support services? Is there a toll free number to call people who know really how to live the language program (or is it just a call center)? Did they value their customers for things offered as a newsletter for resources, the access to education more ideas on his website and contact tracing? He tried the families of these products, and this evidence is provided for comments? How long the company has offered these tools of learning the language, and how are the designers / owners work related to the field of early childhood education?

All the factors mentioned in this article combine to give a good start for what could be a life of language skills for your child. Remember, even if you choose for your child today in Spanish, and French chooses later in life, gave him the edge over the connection of neural pathways of language learning. Resolution to give your baby, child preschoolers a head start this year by becoming bilingual should be high on your list of resolutions New Year to you and your family.

noah's ark bible story

Bible Versus Quran Versus Sciences, (55) the First Glass of Wine

Drinking alcohol can increase the risk of cancer, car accident, traffic unsafely, stress, liver cirrhosis and violence. Also, drinking alcohol is risky for pregnant women.

The first religious drinking law was passed in New York in 1697, and it ordered all public drinking areas be closed on Sunday.

By the late 1820’s, complete restraint from all alcoholic drinks was a key rule of nearly all of the evangelical churches. During this time, people disputed that alcohol was an implement of Satan, and the drink soon named as “demon rum” and “Lucifer Liquids”. The churches had a larger effect when they tried to affect behavior to reduce demand for alcohol rather than trying to limit supply of alcohol. Some people thought that no one should drink. Command was revolving into Prohibition and this got the churches into politics.

Throughout the history of mankind, there are many victims of drinking alcohol.

The First Glass of Wine in The Bible:

According to the Bible, the first victim of drinking alcohol was Noah and his grandson, Canaan, the son of Ham, the son of Noah.

The Bible declares that Noah was “Perfect”

Genesis 6:9

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 7:1

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

In seven different versions as Perfect while in the other versions it is translated as: Blameless, Good man, without blame and “lived right and obeyed God.”

The “Perfect, just and righteous” Noah as the Bible said plants a vineyard, gets drunk, and lies around naked in his tent. His son, Ham, happens to see his father in this condition. When Noah awoke and heard “what his young son had done unto him” (what did he do besides look at him?), he curses not Ham, who “saw the nakedness of his father,” but Ham’s son, Canaan. “A servant of servants shall he (Canaan) be unto his brethren.” This is a typical case of biblical injustice, and is one of many Bible passages that have been used to justify slavery.

Now have a look at Genesis 9:

1And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

2And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

3Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

4But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

5And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.

6Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

7And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

8And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

9And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

10And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.

11And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

17And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

18And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

19These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

20And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

21And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

23And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.

24And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

29And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

Traditionally, it is held that Ham was one of the sons of Noah who moved into Africa and parts of the Middle East, and was the forefather of the nations there. The Bible presents Egypt as “the land of Ham” (in Psalms 78:51; 105:23, 27; 106:22).

According to Genesis 9:20–25, Noah began to raise grapes after the flood, and became drunk one day. While drunk, he lay naked in his tent. Ham saw his father naked, and told his brothers Shem and Japheth about it. Shem and Japheth went into the tent with their faces away from him, and covered him. When Noah awoke, he realized what had had been done to him, and cursed Canaan, son of Ham, to be the “servant of servants” of Shem and Japheth.

Nevertheless, Genesis 9 denies the basic Human Rights because:

1- slavery is immoral and wicked.

2- cursing all of an individual’s descendents into perpetual slavery because of an inappropriate act by an ancestor is immoral.

3- laying a curse on the son of the person who committed the act is immoral and dishonest.

The extent of the outcome of this passage is horrible.

This passage:

1- Religiously justify the shameful phenomenon of Racism; and the creation of the “Hamitic” ethno-linguistic group during the European exploration of Africa.

2- Religiously justify the shameful phenomenon of color discrimination

3- Religiously justify the shameful phenomenon of slavery of the Africans and emphasizes Biblical justification for slavery.

4- Religiously justify the shameful phenomenon of Israel-Palestinian conflicts, because Canaan is the father of the Palestinians.

Christians traditionally believed that Canaan had settled in Africa. The dark skin of Africans became associated with this “curse of Ham.” Thus slavery of Africans became religiously justifiable.

But in ancient times, cursing a whole race into slavery was considered acceptable because it was in the Bible. The American slave owner felt that he was carrying out God’s plan by buying and using slaves.

Unfortunately, many millions of innocent people had been killed, slaved and abused because of the Biblical passage of Genesis 9.

The First Glass of Wine in the Quran:

What the Quran says about the First Glass of Wine?

The Quran absolutely denies this story of Genesis 9.

This topic has many important aspects that are important to mankind e.g. Human Rights, Racism, Color discrimination, Humanity, Politics etc., that is why, it deserves a separate article.

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 55); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “? In respect to the topic of the First Glass of Wine; I recommend reading my next article about Noah.

Bible Study Basics: the Pitfalls of Discussion

The debate is essential to Bible Studies, small groups and school classes Sunday. It keeps people aware and involved, adding the knowledge and wisdom, and helping to turn head knowledge into heart knowledge.

So why the discussion, do not always succeed or not? Why does it sometimes lead to more problems than solutions? Here are five of the biggest reasons plunges discussion:

1. A combination of ignorance. People must have a reasonable knowledge of the matter for debate in order to prosper. Therefore, education and discussion must work hand in hand - should not have one without the other. Take the time to teach the truth of the Word of God, then open the debate on what they have learned. If the results are not really taught in the opinions unfounded random stories and ignorance in common … and the discussion is not effective!

2. Tangents at random. It is easy to fall into the trap of believing that if people are speaking, is a good discussion. But an effective Bible Study or Sunday School class focuses on goals: in each class, a concrete truth, principle, or application is the center of attention. Therefore, since the random tangents and aimless talk with other purpose than to do are a waste of time and an obstacle to progress and end of class. And remember: a person may be say something good and true, but if it is on the subject, has no place in time for discussion … still is a tangent.

3. The absence error correction. Sometimes people say something that is false, incorrect or invalid. Our postmodern society says that everyone is entitled to his opinion or interpretation - but God does not want. Christianity teaches the absolute truth, and the apostles consistently demonstrated its willingness and responsibility to correct the error where it appears. It is the responsibility of leadership to correct errors during the debate love to communicate and defend the truth.

4. The struggle for power. Unfortunately, some people see the number of hours of debate as an opportunity to fight against the leadership away from the class teacher. This creates an environment group of villains and derails the objective is the class seeks to achieve.

5. Session flu. Depending on the topic at hand, periods of discussion sessions can easily turn into flu. Classes that focus on relationship problems are particularly prone to this illusion. For productive discussion, some rules must be established, and one of them is to complain is not equal to contribute.

Leaders have to watch constantly for the five killers of the discussion. Fortunately, all under their control. It is the responsibility of the head to provide sufficient information for the debate not become the era of ignorance combined. The teacher can take a firm hand to control tangent error OK, say the appropriate authority, and stop complaining.

In this spirit, make sure that the debate can still be what he is designed to be: a source of wisdom and understanding, opportunity and responsibility-sharing accounts, and a source of friendship and love in the house of God.
